On October 8th, @jayrscottyy posted a five-second TikTok video saying “I ain’t never seen two pretty best friends. It's always one of them gotta be ugly,” while smiling and maintaining intense eye contact the whole time.
As a rather controversial statement, it unsurprisingly provoked angry reactions. “Can I see your friend then? he probably cute,” one viewer commented. From there, users began to ridicule his appearance, often comparing his strikingly unusual eye color to Gen Z’s favorite emoji combination: “👁👄👁” and thus turning him into the latest meme.
Today, it is nearly impossible to escape this meme, as it has become the new bait-and-switch, where users trick their viewers into thinking they’ve made a new discovery, only to reveal that it’s just “I ain’t never seen two pretty best friends.
